Driver In North Webster Armed Robbery Sentenced
WARSAW — Cody Ross Stuckman, 22, North Webster, was sentenced today, Sept. 18, in Kosciusko Circuit Court on charges stemming from a North Webster armed robbery that took place on April 11.
Stuckman pleaded guilty to aiding/inducing a burglary, a level 2 felony, admitting that he drove Jesse Roberson, 19, North Webster, and Matthew Morris, 38, Millersburg, to Roberson’s grandparents house knowing the men had weapons with the intent to rob the elderly couple.
Stuckman appeared in court with his lawyer Antony Garza. Stuckman, who has been incarcerated since April 16, stated that the time he has spend in jail has been the longest five months “of [his] life.”
“I regret the decisions I’ve made,” Stuckman said before acknowledging he deserves whatever punishment the court handed him.
Judge Michael Reed accepted Stuckman’s plea agreement, finding him guilty of aiding/inducing a burglary, a level 4 felony as a lesser included charge, and dismissing the other two counts.
Reed sentenced Stuckman to four years at the Indiana Department of Corrections, suspending that time. Stuckman will serve the first two years at the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the final two years on community corrections.
