Roy Stanley Hirschler
Roy Stanley Hirschler, 56, of Logansport passed away unexpectedly at 1a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 at his residence.
Born May 18, 1961 in Alexandia Bay, N.Y., he was the son of Fred and Shirley (Aldrich) Hirschler.
Roy formerly worked at Kauffman Engineering in Logansport as well as at Bob Evans Restaurant in Kokomo, Logansport and Wabash.
He enjoyed bowling and watching Nascar, especially Jimmy Johnson. Roy was also an avid N.Y. Giants fan.
Survivors include his children, Jacque Hirschler of Waterloo, N.Y., Anna Wilkinson (Nolan) of Walton, mother, Shirley Hirschler (companion, Fred Steinmetz) of Logansport, grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jonathan and Andrew Pathybridge of Waterloo, N.Y., brother, Bob Hirschler of Logansport, sisters, Deb Foster (Geoff), Barb Burk (Dave) and Bev Hirschler (companion, Alberto Sainz), all of Logansport and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hirschler, grandfather, Leslie Van Tassel and grandmother, Vivian Hirschler.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Logansport with Pastor David Payton officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service and also after the service until 6p.m.
