Joseph E. Wolf II — UPDATED
Joseph E. Wolf II, 65, Rochester, passed away at 4:24 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at his residence.
On Dec. 19, 1951, Joseph Earl Wolf II was born in Delong. He was a treasured son of Joseph E. and Hazel Green Wolf. Growing up he shared his childhood with four brothers and two sisters. Joe was a member of the Rochester High School class of 1969. Following high school he enlisted with the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. On his returned he re-enlisted with the National Guard based out of Monticello for a 17 year stint.
In Kewanna, Joe married Dawn Reichard on Oct. 7, 1984. Together they shared more than 32 years. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of 16 grandchildren.
In the early years Joe worked for Kewanna Metal Specialties. He was an EMT for Woodlawn Hospital and the Kewanna Unit. Most recently he was a truck driving professional for T & T Farms. He most usually drove flatbeds.
To relax, Joe loved gardening. He especially loved planting tulips to add a splash of color, introducing spring. As a Grandpa, Joe loved making memories with his grandchildren and celebrating birthdays and the holidays.
Joseph is lovingly remembered by his wife Dawn; four sons: Kevin Swafford of Kewanna, Joseph E Wolf III and wife Michelle of Grovertown, Jessie A. Wolf and wife Karis of Rochester, Raymond J. Wolf; 16 grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Goodwin of Waterloo, Iowa.
Preceding Joseph in death are his parents, a sister, Jeannie and four brothers: Roger, Donnie, Allen and Frankie.
A celebration of the life of Joseph Earl Wolf II will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday. Military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veteran’s Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.
