Baldwin Sworn In To Warsaw Planning Commission
WARSAW — Business was short for the Sept. 11 meeting of the Warsaw Plan Commission, with only one new item of business on the agenda.
Before the meeting got started, Mayor Joe Thallemer was present to swear in new board member Bill Baldwin. Baldwin is a representative of the Warsaw Parks Board, a statutory requirement for the nine member board, and is replacing Rick Paczkowski who retired in July.
Continued from last month was a sexually oriented business ordinance. The ordinance in place is several years old and in need of revision. A draft of the new sexually oriented business ordinance was approved by the board to be sent to the Warsaw City Council.
In new business, Rainbow Rascals Warsaw LLC is looking to re-plat and turn one lot into two lots on Capitol Drive in Warsaw.
“I see no issue why the planning commission can’t approve both the final and the preliminary plats tonight,” stated city planner Jeremy Skinner.
The board did just that, suspending the rules and approving both the preliminary and final plats. Greg Roberts with Donovan Engineering, Fort Wayne, was present to answer any questions from the board but none were heard.
