Man Arrested After Entering Work Release Center Drunk With Knife
WARSAW — One man has been arrested on preliminary charges of intimidation and public intoxication yesterday morning, Sept. 10.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Warsaw Police Department responded to the Kosciusko County Work Release Center to assist officers dealing with a male subject with a knife. A male subject had entered the Kosciusko County Work Release Center in an intoxicated state and was removed from the lobby area. The male subject entered the lobby for a second time and displayed a knife to the staff while visibly agitated.
Zachary Taylor, 27, Warsaw, was taken into custody without further incident after displaying the knife in the lobby. Zachary Taylor was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for public intoxication and intimidation.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
