BREAKING — One Airlifted After Crash
UPDATE — At approximately 12:02 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, an accident occurred at North CR 1000E and East Old Trail, Pierceton.
Cameron J. Harris, 16, East Paige Road, Columbia City, was traveling south on North 1000E, failed to stop at the intersection of East Old Trail, went through intersection and struck a bank of trees, a mailbox and overturned landing on roof. Passenger, Reece D. Spencer, 17, Shinneman Drive Columbia City, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.
Spencer was airlifted for a head injury and other minor injuries. Damage was estimated at $25,000. A mailbox and trees owned by Kendra A. Jubinville, East Old Trail, Pierceton were also damaged.

PIERCETON — Shortly after 10 p.m. Sept. 9, Lutheran EMS and Pierceton Fire were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident at Old Trail and CR 1000E/County Line Road near Pierceton. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Washington Township Fire Rescue were also on scene.
The driver of the vehicle sustained multiple severe lacerations. Parkview Samaritan helicopter was called in to transport the patient and a landing zone was established at CR 900E and Old Road US 30 near the accident site.
