Cecil V. Warner
Cecil V. Warner, 97 of Argos, Ind., died on Sept. 7, 2017 at 9:20 a.m. following a brief illness. On Feb. 7, 1920 in Argos, Ind., he was born to Robert Dewey Warner and Harriett (Bender) Warner and had lived all his life in the Argos community.
On October 6, 1946 in Argos, Ind. at the Santa Anna United Methodist Church he married Jane Marie Kepler and together they shared 65 years. She preceded him on July 25, 2013.
Cecil was a Self Employed Television Sales and Repairman and a avid Gardener.
Cecil was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1938.
He served in the United States Army with the 956th Air Engineering Squadron during WWII from Feb. 14, 1942 till October 6, 1945 when Sgt. Cecil Warner was granted his Honorable discharge.
Cecil is survived by his daughters – Kathy Blackman and husband Mark of Rochester, Ind.; Lori Thomas and husband Ron of Argos, Ind.; Becky Gary and husband Kim of Rancho-Cucamonga, Calif.; Liz O’Dell and husband Wade of Argos, Ind.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister – Geneva Nelson and husband Glen of Highland, Ind.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday Sept. 11, 2017 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos. Funeral Services will follow the visitation on Monday, Sept. 11, at 3 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Ind., with the United States Army Honor Guard and James Lowell Corey American Legion Post #68, Argos, Ind. conducting Military Honors.
