Grace Soccer: Lady Lancers Crack Top 25
WINONA LAKE – Grace’s women’s soccer team earned a spot in the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 poll.
The Lady Lancers, who began the year without recognition, are in the “receiving votes” portion of the poll. Grace has 38 points from the national raters, 29th-most in the NAIA.
Grace has a 2-2-1 record this year. The Lady Lancers’ only defeats are to NCAA Div. I Valparaiso and current-No. 20 Embry-Riddle, which was a double-overtime loss.
Grace will have a chance to improve its position this weekend with a pair of games in St. Louis. On Friday the Lady Lancers play Missouri Baptist, who is also receiving votes nationally, followed by a Saturday match at Lindenwood-Belleville.
The Crossroads League is well-represented in the NAIA poll, including No. 2 Spring Arbor, No. 17 Taylor and No. 25 Marian.
