Ethan Phillip Brown
Ethan Phillip Brown, 22, of Pierceton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 while dressing for church. He was born on March 29, 1995 in Warsaw to Terrill D. and Teresa L. (Roser) Brown.
He was a lifetime area resident and graduated in 2014 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. He was a senior at Purdue University in West Lafayette with mechanical engineering technology as his major and was a member of the Purdue Rifle and Pistol Club. He was an intern for the past three summers at Robert Bosch Automotive Group in Albion.
He was a lifelong member of Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church in Syracuse and was member of the church softball team. Ethan enjoyed life, helping others, and serving Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Ethan played baseball in the North Webster Youth League for eight years He was a member of the football and track teams for Wawasee Middle School and Wawasee High School. He greatly enjoyed his time as a member of the Wawasee Super Mileage team and playing the cello in the school orchestra. He was proud to have spent one summer helping build the new addition to his church as a fourteen – year- old and going on a mission trip with his youth group to Alaska.
He is survived by his parents; his sister, Jama (Jay) Salge, Lima, Ohio; brother, Brice Brown, Pierceton; maternal grandparents: Don and Lois Roser, Wabash; paternal grandmother, Waneta Brown, Warren; two nephews: Lucas and Gavin Salge; aunt, Karen Brown, Roanoke; uncles: Tony (Rox) Roser, Wabash; Troy (Tonya) Roser, Wabash; Terry (Cheryl) Roser, Lafontaine; Steve ( Jayne) Brown, Cortland, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 at Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church, 7449 E. 1000N, Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 at the church with Pastor Jerry Winegarden officiating. Private family burial will take place in the Shepherd by the Lakes Cemetery.
