Flowers Facing Felony Charges
WARSAW — Robert Anthony Flowers Jr., 27, 536 E. Center St., No. 2, Warsaw, has had charges of residential entry and intimidation, level 6 felonies, and resisting law enforcement, class A misdemeanor, filed against him in Kosciusko Superior Court 1.
Flowers was initially arrested Saturday evening, by Warsaw Police, on charges of criminal confinement, intimidation, criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement.
Police responded to a call regarding an intimidation report. When an officer arrived at the location, he observed a female run out the door, stating Flowers was inside the residence in the bedroom. Officers had issued Flowers a no trespass warning for that residence earlier in the day.
The victim told police Flowers arrived at the residence and was told to leave, but he refused. He followed the victim into the residence without her permission. She stated she kept telling him to leave, but he told her he was going to kill her. She stated he would flex his muscles and tell her he was going to beat her, while holding a clinched fist in the air. Flowers continued telling her what he was going to do to her, making her fearful and scared he was going to harm her.
Police entered the home and requested Flowers come outside to speak with them. However, he began flexing his body and walking around, refusing to obey commands by police. He eventually got on the ground after being threatened of being tased. When officers attempted to handcuff Flowers he resisted and began beating his head on the door frame and floor.
When police were able to handcuff Flowers, he was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment where he continued to resist.
