Valley Tennis: Vikings Shut Out In Opener At Bremen
BREMEN — Tippecanoe Valley’s boys tennis team opened with a 5-0 loss at Bremen Wednesday evening.
Eric Wright split sets with Mark Bahr at two singles before succumbing 6-1, 5-7, 6-3, while Peyton Mills fell short in a first-set tiebreaker with Brett Yelaska at three singles on the way to a 7-6(3), 6-3 loss. Seth Hoffman extended Carter Filchak to 12 games in the first set at one singles but lost 7-5, 6-2.
The Vikings’ one doubles team of Garret Feldman and Dakota Parker lost 0-0 to Jake Strehler and Bryce Sterling, and Jeremy Landis and Connor Frentzel were similarly shut out by Brian Cruz and Jordan Thompson, 0-0 at two doubles.
