New Swim Club Forming In Warsaw
WARSAW – An exciting new swim club has been launched in Warsaw to help develop swim athletes to their full potential.
Warsaw Aquatic Club is an incorporated nonprofit and an authorized USA Swimming Club operating under the Indiana Swimming local swim committee. The club will be run by a Board of Directors consisting of volunteer swim parents to ensure focus on the development of each swimmer and a competitive team at a high level.
The first parents meeting will be held Monday, Aug. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Warsaw Community Pool at WCHS. The slate of officers for the Board of Directors will be voted on, along with additional business items.
“The coaching staff is looking forward to building a strong competitive swim program in the Warsaw area, focusing on stroke techniques, positive attitude, self-esteem, dedication and positive motivation,” shared coach Chris LaLonde.
LaLonde will have a calendar of events available and share information about what the new club will look like. Information will also be available regarding financial obligations and registration. The club was formed by LaLonde and swim parents to create a high-level performance program that will focus on swimmers reaching their full potential. Tryouts will be held Thursday, Sept. 14 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Warsaw Community Pool at WCHS for all program swimmers.
