OrthoWorx Organizational Changes
WARSAW — OrthoWorx announced that Cathy Limina is returning to private industry and stepped down from her role as Chief Operating Officer on Aug. 4. Brad Bishop, OrthoWorx Executive Director, will assume leadership of the organization and will work with the board of directors to determine future staffing requirements.
“Cathy has an opportunity to return to the orthopedic industry in a key role with a company led by a former colleague of hers during their careers,” said Toby Buck, CEO of Paragon Medical and chair of the OrthoWorx board. “While we are disappointed that she is leaving, it is no surprise that the key leaders at OrthoWorx have such opportunities given their industry experience and qualifications. We appreciate Cathy’s service and leadership over the past five years and wish her the best.”
OrthoWorx has had three main focus areas: Talent Development, Talent Attraction and Innovation/Entrepreneurship. With the spin-out in late 2016 of the AcceLINX business accelerator and development of a planned, associated capital arm, the board expects to have OrthoWorx focus on the two talent areas and to coordinate with AcceLINX for Innovation and certain university engagement activities. Ms. Limina has served and will continue to serve on the AcceLINX, Inc. board of directors.
In Talent Development, OrthoWorx will continue to emphasize its efforts in K-12 education, workforce development, college student and faculty engagement, and experiential education. In Talent Attraction, OrthoWorx will continue its efforts to expose university students to regional quality of place assets, will emphasize diversity/inclusion efforts and will remain engaged in regional efforts such as the Northeast Indiana Road to One Million plan.
Sheryl Conley, former CEO of OrthoWorx and now President of AcceLINX, continues to serve as a board member of the Orthopedics Capital Foundation, the philanthropic arm of OrthoWorx.
