Historical Rides Offered At Warsaw Municipal Airport
WARSAW — On Friday, Aug. 4 and Saturday, Aug. 5, the Warsaw Municipal Airport, located at 3000 Airport Road, Warsaw, will be offering airplane rides through Waldo Wright’s Flying Service and Nostalgic Flights LLC.
Rides will be available in a 1929 New Standard D-25 for $75 per passenger or in a 1943 North American T-6 at the cost of $250 for fifteen minutes or $415 for thirty minutes.
The New Standard D-25 is one of only eight flying worldwide. Capable of carrying up to four passengers in the open cockpit, the New Standard D-25 was instrumental in introducing hundreds of thousands of people to their first airplane ride when aviation was in its infancy.
The AT6 Texan trained our pilots to fly fighters during WWII. It was the advanced instrument trainer in the 1950s and was used by foreign countries into the 1990s.
Helmets and goggles will be provided. Call (260) 450-7350 for questions or to make reservations. All rides are weather permitting.
