Warsaw Man Arrested For Entering Vacant Residence, Leaving With A Safe
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after a witness saw him enter a vacant residence and leave with a safe.
Trey Darnell Bradley, 19, 215 South Scott Street, Warsaw, is being charged with residential entry.
On July 18, an officer with Warsaw Police Department responded to a call about a subject entering a vacant residence and leaving the property with a safe. Upon arrival, the officer located fresh blood on the floor of the residence and a broken television also covered in blood. The witness advised the suspect had a cut on his hand and provided the officer with the suspect’s vehicle registration plate information.
The officer located the driver of the vehicle, Bradley at his Warsaw residence and observed a cut on the palm of his hand. Bradley admitted to entering the residence but said that the safe he left with had been previously stolen from his residence. He further advised that he knew the previous tenants of the residence. According to Bradley, the safe was empty when he returned home with it.
The officer was able to make contact with the owner of the residence. The owner advised that he gave no one consent or permission to enter the residence.
Bradley was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on July 28 with a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
