Robert Larue Densmore
Robert Larue Densmore, 83, Pierceton, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 6:05 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
Bob was born on Nov. 12, 1933, the son of Myron and Alma (Allen) Densmore. Bob graduated from Monterey High School in 1951. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 in the 317th Combat Engineer Battalion. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and was employed by United Telephone (Sprint) for 39 years before retiring.
Bob was a Bremen resident from 1990-2016 and drove a school bus for the Bremen Public Schools. His hobbies included fishing, working leather, archery, woodworking, shooting firearms, amateur radio operator and crossword puzzles.
He is survived by four children; Kevin Densmore of Indianapolis, Doug (Janet) Densmore of Knox, Mike Densmore of Knox, and Tracey (Joe) Lardino of Pierceton; seven grandchildren; Erin (Jose) Castro, Josh Lardino, Brian Lardino, Adam Densmore, Brittney (Kevin) Whittaker, Andy Stone, and Brandon Stone and four great great grandchildren, Christian, Kamryn, Delilah, and Jaxon. He is also survived by a sister in law, Twanette Densmore of Arizona as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday, Aug. 3 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral Services will follow at noon in the funeral home and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen, IN 46506.
