Janice M. Roth
Janice M. Roth, 90, North Manchester passed away at 3:59 p.m. on July 23, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Janice was born in Preble County, Ohio on June 1, 1927 to J. Everett and Frances (Bitner) Miller. On Sept. 1, 1945 Janice married Elbert O. Baker. In July of 1944 she was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She and her husband Elbert lived in West Milton, Ohio from 1945 to 1980 before moving to Lakeland, Fla. from 1980 to 1994, where she worked in school food service.
Elbert passed away on Dec. 25, 1993. Janice returned to North Manchester in 1994 when she married Donald Roth on April 2, 1994.
Janice was a member of the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting gifts for her family and friends and was also an accomplished seamstress.
Janice is survived by her husband Donald E. Roth, North Manchester; one son David O. (Kathy) Baker, Sioux Falls, S.D.; three daughters: Reva M. (Charles) Lannan, Lafayette; Evelyn L. (Neal) Longenecker, North Manchester; and Beverly J. (Larry) Long, Lima, Ohio; two step daughters: Judy K. Glen, Flora; and Leanna (Donald) Stouder, Columbia City; one brother Charles D. (Leona) Miller, Modesto, Calif.; nine grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; twelve step great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two step great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Elbert O. Baker; one daughter Yvonne O. Gallimore; and one brother Harold E. Miller.
Family and friends may call from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church, State Road 13 North, North Manchester. The Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 27 at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church. A Graveside service will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28.
