Fribley Sentenced On Theft Charges
WARSAW — A North Webster man was sentenced for theft charges stemming from two separate cases on Thursday, July 20.
Kerry Fribley, North Webster, received sentencing for three theft charges. The thefts occurred earlier this year and last fall.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Tuesday, Feb. 7, Fridley was observed using a self-checkout register and not paying for some of the merchandise in his cart. Fridley exited the store with the unpaid merchandise in his possession.
The cost of the stolen merchandise totaled $343.20.
On Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, an Indiana Conservation officer responded to a trespassing and theft complaint on a victim’s property.
The victim testified that Fribley and another individual trespassed on his property and had stolen one of his tree stands.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9, an officer spoke with an individual who stated four nail guns had been stolen off his front porch. He stated the nail guns and been delivered by UPS.
During the sentencing, Judge David Cates sentenced Fribley to two years in the Kosciusko County Jail and two years suspended to be served on formal probation. Cates said Fribley could serve his executed time on work release.
Fribley is not allowed to go on Meijer property or be in contact with the victim of his theft.
