David Eugene Clark, Sr.
David Eugene Clark, Sr., 57, of Columbia City, died at 9:01 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at his home. He had been in failing health.
He was born July 22, 1959 in Columbia City, a son of Rondal A. and Sandra A. (Wolfe) Clark, Sr. His formative years were spent in the Wolf Lake area. He completed his formal education at Central Noble High School.
On Aug. 22, 1982 he was united in marriage to Becky S. Weeks. They have always made their home in Columbia City.
He was employed by Essex – Columbia City for 20 years and then Busche in Albion in the manufacturing department.
An avid NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed driving fast cars. He had an extensive collectable model cars collection, especially muscle cars. During football season, he was a diehard 49ers fan. On his softer side, he loved to collect rubber duckies and anything Charlie Brown or Snoopy.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; a daughter, Holly M. Timms and a son, David E. (Jaime) Clark, Jr. both of Columbia City; his parents, Rondal and Sandra Clark, Sr., Albion; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Alma (Kim) Burelison, Churubusco; two brothers, Robert C. Clark, Fort Wayne and Rondal A. Clark, Jr., Albion; and a brother-in-law, Dan (Sue) Weeks, Merriam.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in the Troy Presbyterian Cemetery. The visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
