North Webster Library News And Events
NORTH WEBSTER — Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages come and experience the greatest show on earth when Adzooks Puppets perform their Circus of Imagination 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 at North Webster Community Public Library. With the help of audience volunteers, a marvelous menagerie of circus characters perform amazing feats with ordinary objects. Kids will experience the power of imagination at this Summer Reading Program event open to everyone.
North Webster Library encourages patrons to explore neighboring libraries this month and participate in a fun activity during Building Library Relationships Days on July 13, 18 and 20. On July 13, patrons from North Webster and Milford are invited to Syracuse Public Library at 2 p.m. to “Build a Better Cupcake.” Milford Public Library will host a “Lego Challenge” 2 p.m. July 18, and North Webster Library returns the invitation with “Recycle Building Challenge” 2 p.m. July 20. Since all three libraries are part of the statewide Evergreen Library System, patrons can use their Evergreen cards to borrow and return items from and to all three libraries as well as any other Evergreen library throughout Indiana.
The week wraps up with Friday Family Food and Fun on July 14 with a choice of three sessions at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. Children will learn about recycling as they move through four stations where they will build a robot, binoculars and piggy bank out of recycled materials and enjoy edible legos. Registration is required to attend, so contact the Youth Services Department to get your child signed up.
The Legos aren’t the edible kind at Lego Club 1 p.m. this Saturday, July 8, but the kids will still have lots of creative fun. Parents are invited to join in, too. Children under age 9 should be accompanied by an adult.
