Eugene Mark ‘Geno’ Epple
Eugene Mark “Geno” Epple, 55, Holland, Mich., passed away on June 26, 2017.
He was born March 15, 1962 in Portage to Eugene G. and Rena C. (Pividori) Epple.
He graduated from Rogers High School in Michigan City and from Indiana University in Bloomington. He worked at Farm Bureau in Indianapolis for many years. He lived in Greenwood and Fishers for several years before moving to Holland, Mich. about a year ago.
Geno loved music and had a great sense of humor. He was a passionate golf player who achieved a hole in one on Gahm Golf Course in December, 2012. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and loved to watch Hoosiers football and basketball as well as the Indianapolis 500. Geno’s personal message to his family and many friends would be, “Peace out! Geno the Mad Italian.”
He is survived by three sons: Austin Eppl, Carson Epple and Rylan Epple, LaParte; two sisters: D.J. (Gerry) Wilson, Warsaw; and Christina (John Hayes) Epple, Chicago; two brothers: Eric (Brnda) Epple, Warsaw; and Evan (Dora) Epple, Richmond, Texas. Several nieces, nephews, and many caring friends will also miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cynthia Metzger.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 408 W. Catholic St. Pierceton with Father Chuck Herman of the church officiating. Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Pierceton, IN. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
