Flood Advisory Issued For Southeastern Kosciusko County
KOSCIUSKO — A flood advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana until 12:15 p.m. today, June 23. The advisory covers Southeastern Kosciusko, Southeastern Fulton, Northern Allen and Whitley counties.
At 8:05 a.m., doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a thunderstorm. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory areas through midday. Some locations that will experience flooding include North Manchester, South Whitley, Akron, Fulton, Larwill and Sidney.
The National Weather Service advises drivers to “turn around, don’t drown” when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
