Anna M. Slone
Anna had a servant’s heart, and as she was not too proud to tell you, she truly was an angel living here on Earth. She loved everyone she met and they all loved her. She worked many jobs through the years to keep food on the table and a roof over the family, but the time she spent working in the hospitals were the times she enjoyed speaking of the most. Her loving and caring heart overflowed with compassion and God’s grace for others. Her most prized possession was her huge family. Coming from a family of ten siblings, Anna and Columbus also had ten children, whom she loved with all of her heart.
Anna is survived by her sons Columbus (wife Patty) Slone Jr., Warsaw, Donald (wife Arvilla) Slone, Warsaw, Ronald (wife Debra) Slone, Crossville, TN, Curtis (wife Christina) Slone, Claypool, Richmond (wife Avis) Slone, Etna Green, Jeff (wife Elizabeth) Slone, Warsaw, Rick (wife Renee) Slone, St. Joseph, IL and daughters Virginia (husband Roger) Brindle, Claypool, Janet (husband Curt) Flannery, Silver Lake, and Christina (husband David) Morehouse, Mentone. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Columbus, all nine siblings and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will he held at noon, Saturday, June 24 at First Freewill Baptist Church of Silver Lake. A time of visitation will be held before from 10 a.m. to noon.
