Kenneth E. Saine
Kenneth E. Saine, 83, Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 5:33 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home. He had been in failing health the past eight years.
On March 22, 1934, Kenneth Eugene Saine was born in Francesville. He was the treasured son of Ernest and Alice Tunis Saine. Growing up as one of eleven children, number eight; he shared his childhood a brother and nine sisters.
In Fort Wayne on Oct. 20, 1956, Kenny married the love of his life, Donna Jean Town. Their union produced a daughter Pam and a son Bob. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They shared 50 years of life’s adventures, sadly she passed away on February 12, 2006.
With a strong work ethic, Kenny worked as a roofer with Lawmaster Roofing for many years. He also enjoyed a lifelong passion of agriculture, farming in Richland Township. He enjoyed watching his crops and the garden grow.
As an American sportsman, Kenny loved to hunt, fish and camp. He hung out with the guys drinking coffee at local eateries and solving many of the world’s problems. On TV he watched westerns and animal shows. A favorite memory is the adventure traveling to Alaska. Kenny and Donna drove and enjoyed seeing the sights and beauty that Canada and Alaska offer.
Kenneth is lovingly remembered by a daughter, Pam Ryan, of Rochester; a son, Bob Saine and wife Linda of Ewing, Ky.; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters: Patsy Shine and husband Earl of Beaverton, Ore.; and Shirley Clark and husband John of Black Hills, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Kenneth in death are his parents; wife; seven sisters: Mamie, Esther, Millie, Mabel, Ethel, Della, Hazel; and brother, Ernest Jr.
Chaplain Timothy Lee will officiate services. Interment will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
