Wawasee, Northridge Stack NLC Softball List
GOSHEN – An undefeated Northern Lakes Conference softball season had Wawasee stack up numerous honorees in the 2017 All-NLC lists issued Tuesday.
The Lady Warriors, which finished 14-0 for the first time in program history, had Ale Brito, Kayla White, Madie Wilson, Meghan Fretz and Amber Lemberg all named All-NLC, and Hannah Haines and Aubrey Kuhn named Honorable Mention All-NLC. Coach Mike Barger, in his first year as skipper for the club, was tabbed by his peers as Coach of the Year.
Northridge, which came in second at 11-3 in the standings, had Jada Crofoot, Sara Troyer, Allison Hostetler and Sami Deisler named All-NLC, and the duo of Meghan Bontrager and Jalyn Smith named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Concord (9-5) had Yadi Gomez, Mayla Herman and Audrey D’Arcy as All-NLC and Skylar Decker as Honorable Mention All-NLC. Warsaw (7-7) had Abby Glass and Saylor Bradley named All-NLC and Courtney Chookie as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Goshen (6-8) had Ana Maria Ramirez and Jordan Nemeth named All-NLC and Kate Atkinson as Honorable Mention All-NLC. NorthWood (5-9) had Summer Stillson and Hannah Stickley named All-NLC and Gracie Clark as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Memorial (4-10) had Cadence Lee named All-NLC and Sydney Ryan as Honorable Mention All-NLC. Plymouth (0-14) had Anna Bockman as All-NLC and Mackenzie Derifield as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
