Local Little Ninjas To Receive New Equipment
NORTH WEBSTER—The Hoover Family Foundation recently approved a funding request from the North Webster Community Center towards the improvement and expansion of their Ninja Warrior Fit Kids program.
The program is currently available to Mini Ninjas, age 4-6, and Junior Ninjas, age 7-9. The funds will help purchase equipment to improve what is currently available as well as expand to offer the program to kids age 10 and up.
A NWCC representative said “We are grateful that the Hoover Family Foundation sees the value and need for such a program for our youth.”
Ninja Warrior Fit Kids is a youth version of the American Ninja Warrior television program. Instructors Nika Prather and Forest Bosenberg set up a variety of courses for kids to run, climb, jump and crawl through while building self-esteem, confidence, determination, flexibility, strength and problem solving skills. The class culminates with a Ninja Challenge where the children compete against the clock for the best time.
Summer Ninja camp is set to begin July 5. For more information, contact the North Webster Community Center 574-834-1600 x239 or visit www.nwcommunitycenter.org.
