Road Closure Planned For SR 15 On Tuesday, May 30
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that SR 15, .51 miles north of SR 14 in Kosciusko County, is scheduled to close on or after Tuesday, May 30, weather permitting. The closure will facilitate culvert repairs.
The closure is scheduled to take place over a branch of the Silver Lake Drain, located between Myrtle Glen and West Dixie drives in the Town of Silver Lake. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official state detour for the closure will be SR 14 to SR 13 to U.S. 30. The road may be closed up to 14 calendar days during the work.
The contract was awarded to Pioneer Associates, Inc. for $507,000 and also includes culvert repairs on various structures throughout the Fort Wayne District. SR 15 is expected to reopen completely by mid-June, weather permitting.
