Milford Fest Talent Show Wows the Crowd
MILFORD — The 2017 Milford Festival was a big hit with not only Milford residents, but citizens of Kosciusko County overall. Main Street was packed with food, games, rides and shows.
A highlight of Milford Fest was the talent show. A large audience turned out to support their friends, family and community.
Despite the delay in schedule and a host of technical difficulties, performers of all ages showed up to show off their talents. There were 13 contestants total. Many of them exercised their vocal chords while serenading the crowd.
A few participants wowed the crowd with their dancing skills. One contestant even taught the audience how to juggle and told a few jokes.
After a short deliberation, a panel of judges chose three winners from two different categories:
In the dance category, Reagan Koble, 14, won first place and a $100 prize. Hailey Carney, 15, took second place with her hip hop routine and received a $50 prize. Third place and a $25 prize went to Alex Fiscus and Reegan Behles, for their interpretive dance.
In the general category, Lance Lannen took first place after he performed Journey’s classic song “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Juan Luna, 9, seemed to have a blast while performing “Uptown Funk,” which helped him win second place. Alex Zimmerman, 17, won third place after playing “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes on his guitar.
Event staff apologized for the inconveniences and congratulated the participants on their performances.
