Pursuit During Milford Fest Results In Arrest Of Driver
MILFORD — At 12 56 p.m. today, May 27, officers were alerted about a possible impaired driver in a silver passenger vehicle on S West St. in Milford. Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle at the intersection of West First and South Higbee streets.
Officers observed the vehicle driving all over the roadway and almost struck two vehicles. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle fled police.
The pursuit terminated after the suspect vehicle collided with a Milford Police car and came to a stop in front of 210 S Higbee St. the driver resisted police and was taken into custody.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s worked the crash between the suspect vehicle and the Milford Police vehicle the damage was under $700 and there were no injuries because of the crash, however, due to the nature of the collision a report was requested by the Milford Police Department.
Suspect identified as Frank Thomas Rocha, 37, 211 N Main St. Milford, was arrested for: OWI/Prior, habitual traffic violator, resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
