Doughnut Day Fundraiser Helps Families Realize Blessing Of Adoption
WARSAW — Several local organizations are partnering with a Warsaw-based nonprofit organization on National Doughnut Day to raise funds for families in the process of adopting a child. Silveus Insurance Group, Rua restaurant, MudLOVE, Light Rail Café and Roaster, Rise ’n Roll Bakery and other area businesses have contributed to the third annual Raise the Dough campaign, which donates proceeds towards helping sponsored families realize the blessing of adopting a child.
This year’s Raise the Dough campaign brings the opportunity to preorder boxes of doughnuts from Krispy Kreme or Rise ‘n Roll Bakery. Preorders can be made and paid for online at RaisetheDough.org, by approximately 5 a.m. on May 31.
Doughnut orders can be picked up between 7:30 and 10 a.m. on Friday, June 2, at the Baker Youth Club, 1401 E. Smith St., Warsaw. While on location, participants can enjoy a special doughnut prepared by Rua, purchase a cup of Light Rail coffee, and buy a unique Raise the Dough coffee mug from MudLove. More information and preorder forms can be found at RaisetheDough.org.
“I am so grateful for the support we’ve received from the greater Warsaw community,” says Tobe Forshtay, founder of Raise the Dough. “Our organization is only two years old, but we’ve been privileged to help five families with their adoptions already. I cannot wait to see what the next year holds.”
Raise the Dough is a non-profit on mission to raise funds for adoption because no child should be without a parent.
