Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:41 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, East Center Street, east of Robmar Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Kyle D. Owens, 23, South Edgar Road, Mason, Mich., and Citlali Gonzalez Hurtado, 21, South Oak Brook Place, Warsaw. Owens pulled out in front of Hurtado, causing the vehicles to collide. Damage up to $25,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:33 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, Liberty Drive and Legacy Lane, Winona Lake. Drivers: James L. Manwaring, 76, South Meadow Drive, Warsaw, and Claude L. Chrisman, 82, Rutland Court, Winona Lake. Manwaring was traveling east and saw a garage sale. He stopped his vehicle and began backing up and, unaware that Chrisman had entered the intersection, Manwaring backed into Chrisman’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:48 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, North CR 100E, south of East CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Debra M. Collier, 59, EMS T7B Lane, Leesburg. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
3:32 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, West US 30 and North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: M. Shahed Qureshi, 23, Tanglewood Pl., Hammond. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
Marshall
12:10 p.m. Veterans Parkway (US 31) and Lilac Road, Plymouth. Drivers: Charles L. Cramer, Nutmeg Road, Plymouth and Jonathan R. Bruce, North CR 600W, Michigan City. Cramer was transported to Plymouth Hospital to be checked. Bruce was flown to Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain to his right leg and hip. Cramer was southbound on Lilac Road, failing to stop at the intersection with Veterans Parkway. Cramer turned into the right rear area of Bruce’s dump truck, causing the dump truck to slide sideways and roll.
