SCOTT ALAN GARDNER
Scott Alan Gardner, 69, Plymouth, died at 10:46 p.m. May 19, 2017 at his residence where he had been in declining health.
Scott was born May 13, 1948 in Argos to Harold D. Gardner and Caroline (Sinclair) Gardner.
Scott has been back in the Argos Community for the past 15 years, spending the last year on Kreighbaum Lake near Plymouth. He had lived in Freeport, Illinois for 25 years prior to his return to Argos, Indiana.
Scott work as a Certified Mechanic for Harley-Davidson in Freeport, Illinois and work as a security officer at Monaco in Freeport, Illinois.
He was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1966. He was a member of the Bourbon American Legion, Post #424, Bourbon. Scott served in the United States Army from Oct. 30, 1966 with the 42nd Artillery, 4th Infantry Division and on July 30, 1968 he received his Honorable Discharge.
Scott is survived by his Daughter, Nichole Ivey, and husband Ryan, Mishawaka; grandchildren, Matthew Gann, Makayla Gann, Mariama Becerrril and Kevin Becerril; companion, Teri Lord, Plymouth; sister, Christine Doss, Jacksonville, Illinois; brother, Michael Gardner and wife Lynn, Shannon, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his faithful canine, “Connect the Dots.”
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 23 at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, with Chaplain Phil Mitchell of the Hamlet American Legion.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, with the Bourbon American Legion Post#424 Honor Guard.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bourbon American Legion Post #424.
