Bradley Lands New Gig At New Castle
NEW CASTLE – After citing in April he needed to be closer to home, but the itch to continue coaching was still with him, former Whitko girls basketball head coach Brandon Bradley has found a new home.
Bradley, who guided Whitko to its first-ever number one ranking this past season, has accepted the girls basketball coaching position at New Castle High School.
Bradley coached Whitko to new heights in his six years on the bench, winning a program-high 21 games this past season. Guiding the top two scorers in the history of the program in Aly Reiff and Brianna Cumberland, Bradley won 88 games, 72 of which came from this year’s senior class.
New Castle, which went 16-10 and won a sectional title, had averaged 16 wins a season under former coach Corie West, who guided the Trojans to its first sectional championship since 2007.
Whitko has not announced Bradley’s successor as of Friday afternoon.
