Warsaw Community Public Library Offers Tours
WARSAW — Have you ever wondered how a book is selected and what it goes through before you find it on the shelf at the library? What does it look like behind the closed office doors? Elementary and preschool children have recently had a chance to peek behind the scenes during their end of school year tours at the Warsaw Community Public Library. They’ve had the chance to see what happens to a book after it arrives at the library when they toured the cataloging department. They’ve toured the auto-visual area to see what kind of movies and musical recordings the library has and how they are shelved.
But did you know tours are no only for children, but for anyone interested in learning about the library? A tour allows individuals or groups to see the different services and collections the library has to offer. Tours can be general or specifically tailor to your groups’ interests.
Individuals, clubs and organizations interested in setting up a tour are encouraged to contact the library.
