WCHS Students Honored During Art Exhibit and Fine Arts Festival
WARSAW — Last night, Warsaw Community High School students were honored during the 38th Annual Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa Art Exhibit and Fine Arts Festival. The exhibit is held yearly to recognize those students with exceptional art work.
The main event was the juried art show held in the Black Box Theater. There, Warsaw students displayed their visual artwork created throughout the school year. The artwork was divided into 12 different categories and three local artists juried the show, complete with monetary awards.
Eleven WCHS seniors had a special display during the art show. Each senior displayed their best creations from throughout their whole high school career. Tiffany Rusinack won first place for her display, Drake Swartzentruber won second place and Ezequiel Espino won third place. Seniors who received honorable mention were Victoria Heinsman, Abby Gibson, Madison Wagoner, Daisie Poe, Gabriella Aguirre, Anna Craig, Madyson Hepler and Rylie Knecht.
Other events throughout the evening included a showing of student produced videos, performances by the WCS String Ensemble and the WCHS Jazz Band and demonstrations of a potter’s wheel, stone carving and painting.
