Warsaw Man Arrested For Holding Girlfriend Captive, Threatening To Kill Her With Knife
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after he threatened to kill his girlfriend, himself and the other two women he has children with. The man then held his girlfriend captive for three hours.
Jacob Paul Lindsey, 39, 310 South Lake Street, Warsaw, is being charged with criminal confinement, a level 3 felony and intimidation with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony.
On May 9, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to an intimidation that occurred in Warsaw. The victim was located at Village Pantry. She advised she lived with her boyfriend on South Lake Street.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the couple had gotten into an argument and Lindsey became very angry. During the argument, Lindsey retrieved a knife from the kitchen and threatened to kill the victim, himself and two other women he has children with.
Lindsey then held his girlfriend in the residence against her will for around three hours. He eventually began crying and put the knife down. The victim put the knife back in the kitchen but then Lindsey obtained an X-ACTO knife. Eventually, Lindsey fell asleep and the victim was able to escape the residence. She went to Village Pantry and called the police.
The officer also spoke with Lindsey who advised he had been upset with certain things occurring in his life. Lindsey told the officer he started crying and cried himself to sleep. The officer was able to locate the X-ACTO knife on the night stand next to the bed.
Lindsey was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on May 9 with a $25,250 bond.
