Chautauqua-Wawasee Presents Family Series Week
SYRACUSE — Chautauqua-Wawasee recognizes families face many different issues, so it planned a week long series for parents, grandparents, educators and community members that will cover issues from addictions, social media trends and human trafficking to tips for grandparents, family counseling and foster parenting.
The series will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, May 13-19, conference room no. 1 in the Oakwood Resort Center. Cost is $5 per person or $20 per person for all five nights.
Topics that will be covered are:
Monday – Current epidemics and stigmas, led by Michael DeLeon of Steered Straight.
Tuesday – Trends and teens, led by Clinton Faupel of RemedyLive.
Wednesday – Dangerous side of technology, led Crista Miller, special agent Jeffrey Robertson, FBI and Detective Chris McCarty, FWPD.
Thursday – Grandparents raising grandchildren, led by Crosswinds Family Counseling.
Friday – Foster parenting.
