Biggest Losers Are Winners At Kosciusko Community Senior Services
WARSAW — Twenty-seven seniors and several employees at Kosciusko Community Senior Services Center recently participated in a ‘Biggest Loser’ contest.
The competition ran from Feb. 1 to May 4. The contestants lost a combined total of 149.3 lb. Kosciusko Community Senior Services Center promoted exercise and a healthy diet.
Some participants walked together and many engaged in chair volleyball, an activity offered at KCSS every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
The winner of the contest was Betty Dotson, Warsaw. Second place went to Pernell Bailey, Warsaw, with Renea Barker, Pierceton, placing third, Janet Buchhoz, Warsaw, in fourth place and Bob Hatten Jr., Mentone, rounding out the top five.
The seniors enjoyed challenging each other and very much enjoyed the competition. David Neff, executive director at KCSS, said they plan to hold this type of contest again in the future as they continue to promote positive health advances.
