Jayne M. Timmons — UPDATED
Jayne M. Timmons, 85, Syracuse, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen. She was born on Nov. 17, 1931 in North Webster to Isaac L. and Mildred M. (Bixler) Kline.
She lived most of her life in the North Webster, Milford, and Syracuse areas and attended North Webster High School. She was married on July 9, 1954 in Sacramento, Calif. to Richard L. “Rich” Timmons Sr. who preceded her July 3, 2010. She was the former owner and operator of Country Home Floral & Gift in Syracuse.
She formerly attended Syracuse Baptist Church & Christian Cathedral of Praise in South Bend.
She is survived by her son, Gregory A. (Pamela) Timmons, Syracuse; three grandchildren: Brittney Timmons, Derek Timmons and Kyrstina Ponder; seven great grandchildren: Max, Ethan, Gavin, Isaac, Madison, Rhonan and Brooklyn; two sisters, Bonnie Christner, Warsaw; Jeanette (James) Plummer, Syracuse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard L. Timmons Jr., and two sisters: Joan Mock and June Firestone.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. Private family burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
