Potential New School Holding Interest Meeting This Weekend
WARSAW — Warsaw Academy will be a non-profit, independent school, serving Kosciusko County and surrounding areas. The school will initially serve preschool through 4th grade. Higher grade levels will be added as funding and enrollment demand increase.
The teaching styles will include classical education, mentorship, student-led learning, project-based learning, Reggio and Montessori methods. Warsaw Academy will encourage creativity, problem-solving and leadership skills. The academy plans to run on an 11 month school-year and teaching will be conducted in the mindset of mentoring.
Community participation in student’s education will be important to the school’s success. If anyone thinks they could offer an interesting field trip, discussion, project idea or class in the future, the school would love to hear from them.
Persons interested in serving on the board of directors, as well as interested teachers, are encouraged to come to a meeting. Join to discuss the school’s place in the community at noon on Sunday, May 7, at Wyndham Garden Warsaw, 2519 E Center St. RSVP for the meeting online, here.
