Judith Ann Whitaker
Judith Ann Whitaker, Warsaw, passed away at her residence at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the age of 78.
She was born on June 4, 1938 in Indianapolis to Karl E. Miller and Trudis M. (Thompson) Miller.
Judith was a 1956 graduate of Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake. She moved to the area in 1959 and worked at Da-Lite Screen of Warsaw for 20 years. She was an avid Cubs fan and loved Notre Dame. She enjoyed traveling, camping, flowers, and loved Cedar Point. Most of all she especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Barb (husband John) Owens, Warsaw; son: Charlie (wife Heather) Whitaker, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Julie Owens (Brian Hagan), Winona Lake; Matthew Owens (Elyssa Saunders), Huntington; Mitchell Whitaker, Warsaw; two step-grandchildren: Aiden and Jordan Foreman, both of Warsaw; and three great-grandchildren: Cayden Goon, Anna and Lola Hagan. Also surviving is her lifelong friend: Marcia Shriver, Warsaw; and her brother: Steve Miller, San Bernadino, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m., Saturday, May 6 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Her funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Jamy Gregory. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Lake View Cemetery of Silver Lake, Indiana.
