Wax On, Wax Off At The County Justice Building
WARSAW — During a very brief Kosciusko Commissioners meeting Tuesday, May 2, County Administrator Marsha McSherry informed board members that Summit City Building Maintenance, Fort Wayne, submitted a quote in the amount of $11,675 for floor waxing services. This will include stripping and waxing all three floors of the Justice Building, Warsaw. All work will be done by hand and will include scraping off the layers of wax that have accumulated over the years. Once the floors are in proper condition, they will then require annual maintenance at the cost of approximately $3,500. Board member Ron Truex jokingly inquired as to whether there would be any trade-in value for all the wax already on the floor. Board members unanimously approved this quote.
County Attorney Chad Miner submitted a lease agreement for a property at 211 West Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw, with Attorney Larry Beeson who has been at that location for quite some time. A motion was made to approve and accept the contract as presented.
County Highway Department Superintendent Scott Tilden was asked about paving and chip seal seasons. Tilden stated that paving season will be starting during the month of May. Chip seal operations are generally done during the last week of June or first week of July, according to Tilden.
