Baseball
May Day 2017 became a big day for the NorthWood baseball team as its battle for first place in the Northern Lakes Conference became a blowout. The Panthers downed the RedHawks 12-0 to move to 7-0 in league play.
NorthWood was led by Sawyer Warren’s 2-3 performance. Warren had a double and two RBIs. Payton Bear led the team with three RBIs while Brant Mast went yard.
NorthWood (14-1, 7-0) hosts Concord Wednesday night.
Golf
The boys golf team shot a 150 at Eberhart Monday night to top Culver Academies (157) and Marian (177). The Panthers were led by Sean Hogan’s 33 followed by Caleb Lung’s 38, Jacob Falk’s 39 and Randy Kauffman and Nick Sherk who each shot a 40.
NorthWood competes Tuesday night at the Joe Harris Shootout at Rozella Ford Golf Club in Warsaw.
