Grace Track: Zook, Seitz Honored By Conference
WINONA LAKE – On Saturday, the Grace College track and field team had its first home meet in program history.
On Monday, Joel Zook and Macallister Seitz were honored as the Crossroads League Athletes of the Week for their performances in Grace’s historic meet at the new Bernard and Linnie Key Track and Field Complex.
Zook had a busy day at the Lancer Invitational, winning three events. He set a PR in the 400-meter run at 49.96 seconds and also played a part in Grace’s winning 4×100 and 4×400 relay squads. Since the invitational was Grace’s official opening of the Key Track and Field Complex, Zook will own a facility record in three events for at least one year.
Seitz took first in the discus and third in the hammer. His heave of 49.39 meters in the discus met the NAIA “A” standard.
