FORT WAYNE – The TinCaps believe they have the best fans in Minor League Baseball, and the organization is especially appreciative of their dedicated supporters who displayed patience and perseverance at Parkview Field on Saturday.
The TinCaps and South Bend Cubs, who were rained out on Friday night, were delayed 2 hours by rain on Saturday afternoon. Eventually, they managed to complete their doubleheader, with each team earning a win, albeit in dreary conditions.
As a sign of gratitude to the fans who attended Saturday’s games, the TinCaps will allow fans with tickets from Saturday, April 29 to be exchanged for any non-fireworks TinCaps home game remaining in 2017.
Because the team is understanding of those who had tickets for Saturday, April 29 and chose not to attend because of the weather, those fans also will have their tickets honored for any non-fireworks TinCaps home game remaining in 2017.
All tickets are based upon availability, and are valid for tickets of a value that is equal or less.
“We’re incredibly appreciative of the fans who toughed it out with us,” said TinCaps President Mike Nutter. “And we totally get why some who did have tickets didn’t come out. We hope fans with these tickets will take advantage of our small gesture, and that we’ll have a warm and sunny day when they come back to see an exciting TinCaps win later this season.”
Essentially, the TinCaps are offering fans with tickets to April 29 the same policy for games that are postponed.
Fans who had tickets to the game on Friday, April 28, which was postponed by rain, also can exchange their tickets to a future regular season game in 2017.
The TinCaps and Cubs conclude their four-game series at Parkview Field on Sunday, April 30 (1:05 pm). Tickets are available online at TinCapsTickets.com, by calling 260-482-6400, or at the Parkview Field Ticket Office. As always for Sunday games, fans can get autographs from TinCaps players on the field after the game. Postgame Autographs are presented by Subway.
