Valley Track: Vikings Among Top Four At Dennis Rippy Invite
WALKERTON – Tippecanoe Valley fared well in Friday night’s Dennis Rippy track invitational hosted by John Glenn.
The Vikings had four championship finishes, where Jameson Baker won the discus at 124-6, Dakota Parker the 400 at 51.93, Caleigh Byler the 100 hurdles at 17.56 and the Valley girls 4×800 relay at 12:29.05.
Valley also finished top three in the 4×400 relay, the boys second at 3:40.25 and the girls third at 4:42.32.
Jadyn Kolesiak was third in the 1,600 at 6:23.65 and Will Hassenplug was third in shot put at 43-8.
Jimtown won the boys title with 174 points, followed by Knox at 119.5 and Valley third at 83.5 among eight teams. The Knox girls ruled with 133 points, followed by LaVille at 95, Trinity at 88 and Valley at 79 among the eight teams.
Tippecanoe Valley will host Triton and Rochester Tuesday.
