Warsaw Baseball: Miller Time In Tiger Win
WARSAW – Alex Miller had a blast for the Warsaw baseball team Friday night.
In fact, he had a pair of them.
Leadoff hitter Miller cracked a pair of solo homers as the host Tigers picked up a much-needed 4-1 win over Concord in Northern Lakes Conference play.
Warsaw, which had dropped five in a row, improves to 5-9 overall and moves to 2-4 in league play.
Miller started off the home half of the first inning with a solo shot to get his team going. He followed the same script in the second frame.
Luke Baker also chipped in with a 2-3 effort at the dish for the Tigers. Catcher Bryce Sensibaugh turned in a fine defensive performance for the winners.
Jordan Jones gave up just the one tally in six innings to notch the pitching win. Caden Bowers came on in the seventh and finished the contest.
Warsaw hosts Elkhart Memorial Monday in another NLC matchup.
