Richard C. Loscomb
Richard C. Loscomb, 64, passed away at 9:26 p.m., Friday April 21, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born on Aug. 12, 1952 in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Alfred Corkin and Edna Robinsin (Smith) Loscomb.
Richard grew up in Virginia and attended local schools. He graduated from Richmond High School with the Class of 1970. Richard worked for the local fire department and EMS in Virginia and in Columbia City. He also worked for the Allen County Jail as a confinement officer, Petroleum Traders, and Lassus Brothers in Fort Wayne. Richard was known to be a real prankster. He enjoyed taking photographs, collecting antiques, and his Franklin Mint Firetruck collection. On Dec. 30, 1988, Richard married Terry Gramlin in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include his loving wife Terry of Columbia City; daughters Samantha (John) Dougherty and Sara (John) Abbott, both of Columbia City; grandchildren Ava (Abbott) Agler and Rosalie and Jax Dougherty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday April 26, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services for Richard will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday April 27, 2017 at the funeral home.
