Kosciusko REMC Annual Meeting
WARSAW — A long-standing cooperative tradition, this year’s annual meeting marks the 78th for Kosciusko REMC. On Saturday, April 29, the meeting will take place at Warsaw Community Church, 2300 Ranch Road, Warsaw. Doors to the event will open at 8:30 a.m. Members can participate in a variety of activities. Scheduled activities include health screenings, KREMC service displays, kids’ activities, KREMC bucket trucks rides (weather permitting), fresh doughnuts and hot coffee, and live entertainment.
Six candidates will vie for three positions on the Kosciusko REMC board of directors during the electric co-op’s annual meeting. Steve Miner, Incumbent, is opposed by Mike Long. Terry Bouse, Incumbent, is opposed by Kevin Wagoner. Rick Parker, Incumbent, is opposed by Jerry Yeiter. Information on each candidate is available on the co-op’s website www.kremc.com.
The business meeting will convene at 10 a.m. and includes the board election, executive reports, entertainment and prize drawings. This year’s entertainment will be provided by Easton West. Children ages 4-12 will have their own program to attend featuring a craft area, balloon animals and super heroes.
Attending members will receive an $8 credit on their electric bill and will also have a chance to win one of many fantastic door prizes. Kids will also have special door prizes.
The week leading up to the KREMC Annual Meeting is Customer Appreciation Week at the cooperative. Members can enjoy refreshments daily and enter to win a daily prize. An adult and child’s grand prize will be given at the end of the week for members entering the drawing each day.
