KCH Partners With 2017 Fat And Skinny Tire Fest
WARSAW — Kosciusko Community Hospital proudly supports the 2017 Fat & Skinny Tire Fest as a Premier Sponsor. The festival begins on Friday, May 19 and closes on Sunday, May 21. The Fat & Skinny Tire Fest has evolved into a major regional attraction in Kosciusko County with bicycle activities centralized in Winona Lake and downtown Warsaw. Lutheran EMS Kosciusko will be present during the race times should emergency medical care be needed.
Greg Demopoulos, KCV President, Fat & Skinny Tire Fest Co-founder/Co-Director said, “The Fat & Skinny Tire Fest has been about community from day one. It’s a celebration of our community and the blessings we have. One of those blessings of course is the amazing partners we get to work with. An event this size that has been around for more than a decade can’t continue without great partners, and we’re honored that KCH is one of them. Their support, encouragement, and sharing of resources should make all of us proud when thousands come to enjoy the festival and its rippling benefits every May.”
“Lutheran Health Network KCH enjoys participating in projects that promote community health. The Fat & Skinny Tire Festival shares this vision as all ages participate. We thank the Fat & Skinny event committee for their work on this well planned initiative,” said Kirk Ray, CEO of Lutheran Health Network KCH.
The Fat & Skinny Tire Fest is a fun-filled weekend centered on bringing bicycling enthusiasts and participants together to share the enjoyment of bicycling and the health-related benefits it provides. Furthermore, the aim is to emphasize an attitude on wellness, enjoyment and options available for all ages of bicycling enthusiasts in our community. Some of the events this year include; Community Critical Mass Ride, BMX stunt show and Road Time Trial in Downtown Warsaw Friday; Mountain Bike Racing and Historical Winona Bike Tours on Saturday; and the Village Criterium and Ortho Cup corporate Challenge Cruiser Race on Sunday.
